Goldschmied founded Diesel in 1978 with business partner, Renzo Rosso. Goldschmied was Rosso's boss at AG Jeans before starting Diesel. Goldschmied left Diesel after 7 years and spent time consulting with Gap, DKNY, Mavi and more.

Goldschmied then started AG Adriano Goldschmied in 1997; the denim was sold in Japan and proved to be popular. In 2000, the line launched in North America and Europe. Just 4 years later, in 2004, Goldschmied left the company to pursue other interests.

Citizens of Humanity, founded by Jerome Dahn formerly of 7 For All Mankind in 2003, named Goldschmied as partner in 2007.
However, AG Adriano Goldschmied remains one of my favorite denim lines. My "Tribeca" jeans are my go-to pair whether I'm heading out for errands, grabbing a drink or hanging out with friends for the evening.
