Despite the short period of time children can wear clothes before growing out of them, or ruining them, trendy parents are not just buying Baby Gap, but Marc Jacobs and other high end designer duds. While itty bitty Uggs are awfully adorable, I just do not think I could justify spending that much dough on baby or children's clothing that will inevitably be vomited on, muddied and discarded when outgrown.

Big prices for small clothes seem to be a continuing trend. Your baby or toddler won't know who Marc Jacobs is, but you have to decide if a $65 (on sale from $94) bathing suit is worth the envious stares from other mommies.
