Several months ago I was doing my normal 11:00 am activity- checking all the sample sale sites to make sure I'm not missing anything that I need.

I usually only buy MAC cosmetics, I couldn't resist the Pop Lippy Hippie lip gloss set on sale at Haute Look. It looked like so much fun, perfect for summer or on the weekends when you want a bit of lip color to run errands, but don't want a whole face of makeup.

The Lippy Hippie set ($25) comes in a medium sized square box with see through top (and cute words printed on top: music, love, peace, freedom, etc), a lip brush that fits nicely inside and 20 lip glosses. The glosses range in color from sheer to red to plum. Colors vary in intensity and some are shimmery, while others are just glossy. Use the gloss over lipstick, lip pencil or own its own.

Pop Minty Goodnight Kiss, $18

Pop is an affordable line that is fun and girly, but also has a lot of great products to choose from. Pick up a their version of lip plumper, Lip Cushion which adds volume instead of inducing swelling that stings. If you want to try some bright eye shadows, but don't want to spend lots of dough at your regular makeup counter, grab Pop's Lid Neon set. Pop Smoky Eye Class, $32

Bronzers are great, but when you hit the beach or pool and it washes off, you are left with a streaky face or even a bare face. Tan in a Pan is waterproof! Go ahead and jump in with confidence. Also, a huge selection of nail polish will guarantee you find your favorite color.

Shoes Gone Wrong

I love shoes in all their colors, details and height that make them unique. But, sometimes there is too much of a good thing. The blog If Shoes Could Kill chronicles the over-the-top creations, shoes that should never see the light of day and shoes that you could break an ankle wearing. Plus, there are shoes that are just plain funny, like the slipper dust pan combo. John Galliano Menswear Spring 2011

John Galliano recently showed his menswear Spring 2011 collection in Milan. Menswear usually does not interest me, but this collection was inspired by Charlie Chaplin and has that signature Galliano flare.

Baggier pants and both jackets that are too big and too small were seen. Men can breathe easier now knowing that they need not to fit into super skinny pants and jeans come Spring.

A dark, yet slightly comedic, mood could be felt with the too big, round toed shoes and caps. Newsboy caps and fedoras perched atop the heads of men whose wild black waves had momentarily been tamed.

Muddy colors dominated: brown, tan, navy, cream, military green. Bits of checked pattern peeked out from under jackets and were layered under button down shirts. Layering button down shirts, vests, and jackets are a must.

The lovable trap paraded down the runway in a metallic trench, cinched tightly at the waist. Men can translate this into everyday wear with a classic trench, but try a darker brown instead of the traditional khaki.

Galliano also showed lighter colored suits, but still played with proportions. Imagine Chaplin at a horse race, or sitting on a Southern patio sipping a mint julep or iced tea.
