My Favorite Lines Series: United Nude

United Nude is one of the most buzzed about shoe lines. People are talking about United Nude because the shoes look futuristic, artistic and high fashion, but still wearable and even comfortable.

Meow! Kitten Heels

Looking through magazines, shoe stores and online it doesn't seem like there is anything in between sky high heels and platforms and sweet ballet flats. But, there is the kitten heel; a low, slim heel that works on everyone.

Cole Haan Ceci Air Low Sling, $199.99

Cole Haan Ceci Air Low Sling, $199.99

The kitten heel is a great choice for people that cannot wear high heels, tall women that don't want to add too much height (my tall friend call them "tall bitch shoes"), or those that just want something different. Kitten heels are great for city dwellers that do a lot of walking, or vacationers that know their destination will require traipsing through cities. Plus, they are perfect for work when high heels could look too sexy.

Audrey Hepburn was a fan of this style of shoe, therefore making it an instant classic. But, kitten heels don't have to be boring or dowdy. Go for a classic pair, or look for fun colors, details and embellishments.

Kitten heel styles range from sandals, to peep toe, to pumps. Get several pairs and wear them with shorts, skirts, pants and dresses. These shoes are so versatile, and comfortable to boot.

Fabric of Your Sole

Take a look in your closet. Most of your shoes are probably leather, suede or faux leather. But, there are other options- like fabric! Fabric is great because it gives you a variety of textures, colors and patterns to chose from.

Fendi Taupe Ruched Tulle Sandals

Fendi Taupe Ruched Tulle Sandals, $796 from Blue Fly

Most people are familiar with the logo canvas shoes that Coach, Fendi, Gucci and other designer brands offer. Also, you know the dreaded silk dyeable shoe that bridezillas foist upon their poor bridesmaids. But, there are more options in fabric shoes than logo gear or bright white satin ready for that perfect raspberry tint demanded by the bride.

Louboutin Parisienne 120 Chiffon Pumps, from Blue Fly

You will get a multitude of compliments on your unique shoes. The good thing? Just because you shoes are unique, doesn't mean they are not versatile. Pair colorful shoes with the obvious neutrals, but also try contrasting colors or wearing a color in the fabric pattern to make it pop (like teal or yellow with the Louboutin above).

Report Signature Watts Satin Pumps, from Blue Fly

No one will mistake you for a bridesmaid in stain shoes with tough, yet chic, details like zippers, spikes or studs.

DG Grosgrain Strappy Peep Toe Pumps, from Blue Fly

Dolce & Gabbana Grosgrain Strappy Peep Toe Pumps, $440 from Blue Fly

Lanvin Wool Bow Tie Platform Sandal, from Blue Fly

Tulle and chiffon are too light for the colder months, so, try a heavier fabric, like wool.

Leather is tried and true, but give fabric a chance!

Ab Fab? Just Fab!

Eddy and Patsy would approve of Just Fabulous!

Just Fabulous is very similar to Shoe Dazzle. So, why be a member of both? Simple, my dear fashionista. With shoe and bag selections from Just Fabulous and Shoe Dazzle, you are sure to find something each month that is a personal must have.

The main difference between Just Fabulous and Shoe Dazzle is that Just Fabulous does not feature jewelry selections. However, most aspects remain the same between the two.

To begin the Just Fabulous process, just answer a series of style questions so that the stylists can get a feel for your personal likes and dislikes. Each month you will be emailed to notify that your personal selections are ready for your perusal. Select the pair of shoes or bag that you fancy for $39.95 each, free shipping both ways. Of course, you can select more than one item for the additional charge of $39.95 each. You can request new shoe picks for the month if you don't love the pairs the stylists found for you. To help them understand your personal style, be sure to rate each shoe and bag selection.

You will not be charged until your first purchase. After that, you have until the 5th of each month to decide to skip the month. If you don't opt to skip the month by the 5th, but don't want to make a selection, your account will be credited. Of course, you can cancel your account at anytime.

Spring Clogs

The runways have deemed that clogs are in. But, most people seem to be bit hesitant on donning these clunky shoes (Crocs are never okay).

Free People, $248

Chanel's clogs signaled the return of this style of footwear. Since then Steve Madden, Lucky Brand, Jessica Simpson and more have made affordable clogs. If you want to go designer, and I recommend you do if you are going to pull this trend off, look for Stewart Weitzman, Gucci, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Prada, Miu Miu, Elizabeth and James or YSL.

Miu Miu, $495

Clogs can anchor light, flirty dresses or give you some height while wearing shorts. Look for clogs that are made from high quality leather, have detailing on them (buckles, studs) and that have a thinner, taller heel to avoid looking like a Dutch farmer.

Stewart Weitzman, $345

Go forth and clog!
