Burberry Beauty

Burberry's cosmetics line is now available through Nordstrom. Their signature plaid is imprinted on the products and their grey packaging. The color palette is neutral with a few pops of color thrown in, though nothing too bright or unexpected is found.

Burberry Beauty includes liquid and powder foundation and pressed powder for the face ($45-52). The liquid foundation is sheer and available in nine shades. This foundation is very light, so if you like the bare face look and feel, this foundation may be right for you. The powder foundation, also available in nine shades, can be applied dry or wet, depending on the level of coverage you prefer. The pressed powder is only available in two shades; it is a light, matte powder designed to use sparingly.

To add come color to your cheeks, you can choose from blush or bronzer ($42-48). The blush comes in five colors, three are neutral and two are more pink. It has silicone in the formula to ensure a smooth finish and is designed to give a the appearance of a fresh flush. The bronzer is available in four shades for a natural sun-kissed look.

Burrberry Beauty offers eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara ($27-29). There is only one mascara, which is volumizing, and it only comes in black. The description does not say that it is waterproof, but does say that their are natural agents in the formula that protect from humidity and extreme heat. Burberry's eyeliner is a silicon based pencil that is formulated to go on smooth and be resistant to humidity and heat. There are only five eyeliner colors to choose from and they are all dark (midnight black, midnight plum, midnight blue, etc).

The color in this collection can be found in the eyeshadow. Still, most of the colors are neutral, but there are pinks, purples and blues in the bunch. Again, this product is formulated with silicon for a smooth, even application. Though the twenty color palette is not as expansive as some other cosmetic lines, there is enough range to create a variety of looks from fresh neutrals to nighttime smoky. Number 14 Lavender is quite lovely.

Burberry's lip line includes lip pencil, lipstick and lipgloss ($27-30). Pick from six colors of lip pencil to define your pucker. This lip pencil contains an amino acid derivative to firm the lips. Pretty neutrals, with some bright colors like brick red and hibiscus, make up the twenty-one color lipstick collection. With a satin finish, and very light formula, this lipstick is made with ceramides for fuller looking lips. The lip gloss is available in twelve colors, including some counter parts to the lipsticks.

The Fashionable Dog

Maybe you can't afford a Burberry trench coat for yourself, but that doesn't mean that Rover can't have one. As dogs become more integrated into families and even thought of as kids, dressing up your dog in a t-shirt, sweater, coat, or Halloween costume for that matter, is not that abnormal. But, what about giving your dog luxury items normally reserved for people? Perhaps items that you would not even buy for yourself?

Burberry Dog Coat

Burberry Coat from Uptown Pets $90-145

If you want your dog to be the envy of all the other dogs at doggy day care (or, more likely, if you want to be the envy of other pet parents), splurge on some designer duds. You are sure to elicit tons of "awwws" when your pride and joy prances around as if she was on a runway.

If your dog doesn't like wearing clothes, you can opt for accessories. Collars, leashes and "hair" clips are available for your furbaby.

Don't forget any fashionable dog must also be well groomed. Pet Head by TIGI offers several shampoos, sprays, brushes, conditioners and a couple of accessories for dogs with a variety of coats. Pet Silk has even more options when it comes to grooming, including cologne, gel, "hair" spray and more shampoos and conditioners than you. The SPA collection reads like an upscale human salon with color brightening shampoo and facial scrub.

Now that you have your best furry friend dressed, accessorized and groomed, you have to replace that old dog food dish. Your Burberry clad pooch doesn't want to eat out of a regular bowl, and you surely don't want the dog food bowl to stick out in your well decorated home. A variety of dog bowls, combination food and water feeders, and even treat jars look like little works of art that will blend in to any interior decorating style.

Acacia Dog Bowls

Finally, after a long day, your dog will sleep like a [fur]baby. Soothe his or her aching joints with a memory foam bed from Buddy Beds. If you live in a cold climate, make sure your dog never gets too cold at night with a heated bed- some even come with a massage option! An entire bedroom set from Pamper Me Puppy is too adorable to pass up if you have the extra space. If you don't have the room, a lounge area will make Rover happy as well.

Catnap Vertigo Dog Furniture

Catnap Vertigo Dog Furniture from Pamper Me Puppy $172.95

Of course you will be travelling with your dog, so get a carrier and any additional travel items, like a car seat. If you crate your dog, there are plenty of stylish options for that as well. Your puppy may even eat better than you with organic, human-grade dog food.

You don't want Fluffy to be left out, so grab a few cat items so you aren't playing favorites.

Christopher Bailey Does Burberry to Perfection

Buberry just finished showing at London Fashion Week, and I want it all! Christopher Bailey is a genius when it comes to tailoring coats and adding the right details.

Tall, thigh high boots were on almost all of the models. So, after the summer is over, keep those legs in shape because these boots are hot! Ankle boots were also featured. The coolest part? Shearling on the inside! Trade these shearling lined boots for your beat up Uggs. The handbags also stood out with stud detailing.

Now, for the main attraction, what Burberry is know for: The coats! The collection definitely had a military chic appeal. The collars were emphasized and leather straps with buckles, zippers and military buttons gave the coats just the right amount of detail while still remaining classic. Shearling was all over the place and a few rich brown fur coats were shown.

The coat colors were mostly military green, browns and navy. However, there was a bright blue double breasted coat that really popped.

Ruched dresses, shredded chiffon dresses, and slim skirts in navy, mustard yellow and a berry/plum stood out for the deep colors. The dresses and skirts did have a longer hem, keeping with what we saw in New York.

You cannot go wrong with any piece from this collection. Bravo, Bailey.
