Even though you love TCU (my alma mater, go frogs! Also, the team colors I will be using as examples.) or the Cowboys, it isn't very stylish to deck yourself out in team gear. Big logos, huge t-shirts and caps aren't my thing. Luckily, there are options that will make you the chicest fan around.Jade Elephant Necklace, $85 from Ice
Juicy Couture Sunglasses, $98 from Sunglass Hut
The season starts at the beginning of September, and depending on your location, this time of year is still quite hot. On the other hand, parts of the country may be feeling the effects of the upcoming fall. So, be sure you are cool (or warm) enough for tailgating, as well as game time. Of course, if you are hanging out with friends at a sports bar or at home, the weather isn't as much of a factor.
Charles Albert 1798 Sandal, $19.99 from Endless
Bulga Panache Bag, $455.99 from Blue Fly
Dressing in layers is a great way to make sure you are comfortable throughout the day; you can add or remove layers as needed. Short sleeved jackets, light cardigans, vests, sleeveless wraps and scarves are great layering options.Full Tilt Slub Tank, $16.99 from Tilly's
Full Tilt Hooded Wrap, $19.99 from Tilly's
Shorts and skirts are great for games. However, rompers aren't such a great idea- they are difficult to use the restroom in and if you are tailgating...that could be a problem.Matador Shorts, $178 from Leifsdottir
Sunglasses are a must for tailgating, and a hat isn't a bad idea either. Comfortable shoes are essential; go with flats, sandals or, if you must, kitten heels. Pack your bag with lipstick/gloss, blotting papers, a small brush, pony tail holders, a few bobby pins and a Tide spot stick.See, being a football fan and a stylish fashionista is not mutually exclusive!
